Below are some common questions about Pearl Accountants and the various services we offer.

Are your fees fixed no matter how many invoices or sales receipts I have?

Yes, we will make sure before you signup we will understand your business requirements and recommend the correct package.  We offer a FREE initial consultation.

Do I still need to pay my monthly QuickBooks fee if I have signed up to your services?

The answer is NO.  Quickbooks is included with all our Accounting packages

If I need a reference for mortgage or Visa, can I simply ask my dedicated accountant?

Yes absolutely. When you require a letter from your accountant, we are part of the RSB (Recognised Supervisory Body) and ICAEW so our letters will add value and credibility to your case.

What is my take home pay?

We get this asked a lot and the simple answer is we cannot advise until we understand your finances properly.</p.

This is similar to asking us for instance, ‘I need to buy a laptop, how much will it cost me?’ Similarly when you join us we review your circumstances properly and ensure you claim all the expenses you are eligible for and then we can have an overview of how much your take home pay will be. We have various resources on this and your dedicated accountant will guide you.

How do I get a Unique Tax Reference (UTR)?

You can simply call us on 020 8582 0076 and we will get you do the registration to get a UTR number for you at no cost!

Alternatively, you can click here to download the form and post it to HMRC on page 2 of the form. Once you receive the UTR number, kindly let your accountant know as they will require this to submit your Personal Tax Return.

I want to review my contract for IR35, can you help with this?

You can simply complete the form on our referrals page by clicking here and we will get in touch with them immediately.

Can you help with setting up a business bank account for me?

We have partnered up with most of the high street banks which means you might be looked after well coming in through Pearl as opposed to applying directly.

What are the benefits of using Pearl as my registered office address?

Using our address means whenever there is anything important in the post, your accountant will have dealt with it before you see it.

Your dedicated accountant will open the post for you and speak to HMRC or Companies House if there is anything urgent and once it has been dealt with he/she will scan the post and then email it to you for your safekeeping.

This means that you will never miss anything urgent, especially if you are on a holiday or don’t open your post for a few days. Also you don’t have to scan the post and email it to your accountant which you would have had to do if we didn’t receive your post. This way you will receive the post the same day rather than us forwarding the letter to you via post again and charging you for the additional reimbursement, again saving you costs.

We charge just £20 + vat pm with 30 day notice period, so if you get your own office in the future you can cancel this service at anytime.
